TUSK Music Presents

TUSK Festival 2017

October 13-15

From Montreal, Coverdale’s musical youth was as a piano prodigy and also a church organist/musical director in a number of Canadian churches. She also credits a strong influence from the sacred and folk music of her mother’s native Estonia.

On attending the University Of Western Ohio to study music, electronics increasingly became a pre-occupation, leading to collaborations with Tim Hecker and others. Her Grafts album (Boomkat Editions, 2017), described as “A blissfully introspective 22 minute piece for keys, samplers and EQs in three parts”, stealthily entwines its tendrils around the listener to hypnotic, subtly psychedelic effect, revealing her electroacoustic and Eastern European influences and forging from them something irresistibly consuming yet enigmatic.
